During the Japanese colonial era, tea seeds concealed in a walking stick were brought back to Taiwan from India. Over a century later, these seeds have grown into truly ancient tea trees, known as "lao cong" or old bush tea. The round and mellow flavor, reminiscent of a grandmother's kindness, gently soothes both the throat and the heart.

This time, representing Yilan as the featured city, as a Taipei resident unfamiliar with Yilan, the city gives me a sense of ease, comfort, and fun, filled with warmth and enthusiasm. Starting from the famous surfing spot, Wushi Harbor, in Yilan, I combine it with the Taiwanese national characteristic of friendliness.

There's a saying in Taiwan, "The most beautiful scenery in Taiwan is its people," and this phenomenon is particularly evident in Yilan, where warm interactions often leave a lasting impression. Therefore, I extended this concept to depict the interaction between two elderly people. I transformed the grandfather's white hair into waves, metaphorically representing the grandfather, surfing on the waves, as having the youthful desire to showcase charm in front of the grandmother. The aim is to present a comfortable and amusing imagery.
